Living Things Distinguisher

Children distinguish between living and non-living things, responding to living things differently than non-living things. They show interest in interacting with and learning about animals, their appearance, and behavior.

Example: Child gives pet cat a treat but responds that trucks don’t eat when prompted to give one to the toy truck.
