  • Provide life cycle visuals for children to refer to.
  • Provide visual supports of plants’ needs.
  • Provide gloves, tools, or other options for observation if children don’t want to touch seeds.

Instruction

  • Connect the life cycle to concrete experiences like leaves falling off of trees in Fall.
  • Point out changes explicitly in plants and recorded observations.
  • Directly connect plants to stages in the life cycle and use a visual support.
