Investigation – Computational Thinking: Developing Specific Codes and Codebooks
Description
Children use blocks as symbols and create books of sequences or codes for a series of movements or sounds to be used again.
Materials
Make sure sets of blocks/objects have at least 2 of each type to ensure repetition is possible.
Instruction
Children who master the symbolic representation can create a pattern and write a “song” using the blocks. (red, blue, yellow, blue,red,red,red, blue blue blue, red, red, red -tune Mary had a little lamb).
