Forces and Motion Changer

Children identify that objects move in different ways and that things like actions, shapes, sizes, weights, and surfaces can affect movement. They explore how applying varying amounts of force can change how objects move and how different surface characteristics can make it easier or harder for objects to move.

Examples: 1. Child indicates that balls roll down the ramp but blocks do not because blocks slide 2. Child identifies that an object is rolling because it is round, but it is going slow because the surface is bumpy.
