Description

Introduce the water table and materials that will be available to children. Model tilting a container of water and ask children: “What do you think will happen if I keep tilting the container?”

Materials

Provide containers that are easily grasped and manipulated, including containers with adaptive handles if available.

Instruction

  • Follow children’s interests and incorporate those interests into the activity as much as possible.
  • Provide visuals for children to use as a means to communicate their thoughts and ideas and to ask for help.
