Children will problem solve how to make a shadow when provided with a light source, a blank surface, and objects to place in front of the light source.

Provide easily graspable items (e.g., larger/softer items).

Instruction

  • Provide least to most intrusive prompts before modeling how to create a shadow (e.g., use a gesture prompt, then verbal, then model).
