Environment

If possible, limit background noise and distractions so your child can be more engaged in the mealtime activity.

Materials

Offer a variety of tools and utensils.

Instruction

  • Communicate with your child at eye level.
  • Speak/sign slowly, emphasize keywords, and wait for a response.
